SFI Advanced Nano Tech Applied in Multilayer Surge Suppressor

SFI Electronics Technology Inc. (SFI) announced the new Nano tech and applied in manufacturing of multilayer surge suppressor to upgrade the quality of products obviously. In order to meet design of 3C products in low voltage (1.8V), SFI has developed the component 0402ML050C. SFI is the first company to pass the ESD 8KV test for spec 5V product and make SFI become a global leader in Nano tech.

SFI announced chip varistors. To utilize the new Nano tech, SFI manufactures the multilayer varistors. It can be used in communication products to solve the abnormal voltage and avoid static to protect the function of electronic components. In the past, most of chip varistors are imported by foreign company and there is only a few of domestic company to produce. SFI occupied the domestic market in half and the average capacity is 80KK pcs per month. Due to the yield rate exceed 90% and enlarge the capacity to 300KK pcs per month to meet demand of market, SFI has a optimistic future.

SFI Applied Nano Tech to Solve abnormal voltage in communication products

To utilize the new Nano tech, SFI manufactures the multilayer varistors. It can use in communication products to solve the abnormal voltage and avoid static to protect the function of electronic components. In the past, most of chip varistors are imported by foreign company and there is only a few of domestic company to produce. SFI occupied the domestic market in half and the average capacity is 80KK pcs per month. Due to the yield rate exceed 90% and enlarge the capacity to 300KK pcs per month to meet demand of market, SFI has a optimistic future. General Manager, Mr. Lian Chi-Hon, said that SFI spends 7 years to engage in developing and manufacture chip varistors, not only in all series size of 08CH , 1206, 0805, 2220, 1812, 1210, 0603, 0402, but also in array series 0508 and 0612. SFI is the first company in mass production in array series. Currently, we also develop the size 0201 chip varistor and become the first one to own the tech in Taiwan. Due to the Nano tech leads to the change of even mix in construction, the component can stand more and higher over-voltage. After actual static test, the test result shows that SFI’s product can stand the largest static 20KV in 0402 (low voltage). It mans the function is much better compared with other standard chip varitors 8KV. The technic leads SFI to become a global leading manufacturer. At present, the annual production of chip varistors exceeds 10KK pcs. SFI’s products can be applied variously in mobile phone, digital camera, NB, auto meters, security systems and medical equipments. For example, if applied in mobile phone, the average usage quantity of chip varistors is 20pcs per set. After launching the multi-function mobile phone such as 3G, PDA..etc. this year, the estimated demand quantity will increase to 30KK ~40KK pcs. In future, the market demand will increase continuously. Base on abovementioned market niche, there will be a great development space for SFI.
